In the Android world, a Samsung phone with a Touchwiz overlay offers a much different experience than a HTC phone with a Sense overlay.  Whereas, in the Windows Phone world, the experience on a Samsung phone is almost identical to that of a HTC phone.  With manufacturers not having a way to differentiate themselves, they have little incentive to push very hard with Windows Phone devices.  That’s probably why we don’t see Windows Phone devices with dual-core processors, HD displays, and other cutting edge technology.  Manufacturers simply have little reason to push Windows Phone, and that is why Windows Phone will fail.
